'CA' French Silkwork.

The initials CA in the centre of the basket are probably those of the embroideress.
The embroidery bound in silk ribbon and edged with a border of metallic lace.
Now displayed in a box mount frame.

Late 18th / early 19th Century.
Worked in coloured silks and chenille on a
silk ground depicting a basket of fruit and flowers.
With a garland of blossoms held by winged insects, flanked by leafy trees.
