Set of Six Giltwood Chairs

An outstanding set of six giltwood chairs which can be related to examples made by Thomas Chippendale and William and John Linnell. Their construction and quality tell us they would have been made by an important cabinet maker. Provenance Available.

The side door enclosing small drawers and with ink and pen drawer above. Inlaid with ebony, holly and with gilded decoration.

This unusual fine quality lacewood example has a slide in each drawer to give a double storage facility. The quality of the cabinet work is of a very high order and the condition excellent.
